Essentially because we provide a specialist service for hiking holidays in and around South Devon.

We are Richard and Cait and we feel lucky to live in South Devon, just 2 miles from the coast path and 6 miles from Dartmoor.

Having brought up 3 children and enjoyed many happy times by the coast and on the moor, we now enjoy sharing these delights with others.

Because we live here and know the region well, we can help with the small details that turn a good holiday into a great one.

Between us we've extensive experience in travel and tourism, so we understand what works well for those planning walking holidays. We also know our local sections of the Coast Path from Polperro to Torbay and on to East Devon's Jurassic Coast, the river trails along the Erme and Tamar Valleys, as well as the best of Southern Dartmoor . And we know the best places to stop for refreshments and stay overnight.

So we can look after all the arrangements for you - planning your itinerary, booking accommodation, transporting your luggage - and we're on hand to support you during your trip.

Five of us hiked another section of the Southwest Coast Path for 10 days east of Plymouth this September, and Richard arranged it all for us, planning the itinerary, booking the accomodation, providing advice and moving our bags on from one place to the next, so we did not have to carry them. It all worked out very well. We were very pleased, as finding appropriate accommodation in this section of the path is not straightforward. He lives locally.
